British Airways has just announced a Christmas/New Year fare sale, though it only seems to be valid for flights departing London (as of now). The sale runs through Tuesday, November 13, so you have a bit over four days to book. American seems to have already matched, which can be especially lucrative with the promotion they’re running right now, and could be even more lucrative with the bonus miles they’re offering for premium transatlantic travel.

If you go to this page you can browse prices by desired destination.

They have roundtrip all-in Club World (business class) fares starting from £1247 to New York and £1450 to Las Vegas and Miami, just to name a few.

But the most ridiculously good value of all has to be their Club World fares to Seoul Incheon, which are £776 roundtrip. It’s pretty funny to look at that base fare, which is only £102 per direction.

I’m almost tempted to position in London to take advantage of one of those…

Anyway, if you go to the fare sale page you can choose the destination and it will give you available dates for the particular fares. There are some real bargains to be had, and I’m hoping they file similar fares for travel originating in the US as well.

The Seoul prices relate to the launch of the new direct BA service between London and Seoul.

Travel for those prices is between December 2 and December 13.

Was thinking of going to TYO in December anyway on the Lufthansa half price business offer. But with these CW fares to ICN – I just booked the last sale seat ex LHR on 11 Dec. For £200 I can get to TYO if I decide to on the 2 hour United flight which gives comp upgrades to *G as it’s intra-Asia. Best part is the ‘I class’ bargain basement BA Club World fares seem to upgradable to First with Avios.
