Link: Southwest Airlines® Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card

For a limited time new cardholders earn 50,000 points (enough for two roundtrip flights) after spending $2,000 within three months on the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card. The same offer is also available for the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Card and Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Plus Card, which you can find if you scroll to the bottom of the page at this link.

While this is not an offer I will personally be taking advantage of (given that I prefer to earn and redeem miles for international premium cabins), I do think this is a great option for domestic travel, both for how generous the sign-up bonus is, and the 6,000 points you receive each anniversary which justify the annual fee.

Also keep in mind that if you rack up 110,000 points in a year you’ll earn Companion Pass with Southwest, which allows someone else to travel with you for the entire year. For domestic travel that’s a value that’s tough to beat.

While this is a limited time offer it’s the third time we’re seeing this offer this year, so I wouldn’t necessarily go out of your way to apply right now since I suspect we’ll see the offer again at some point.

(In the interest of full disclosure, I earn a referral bonus for anyone approved through the above link. All are for the best available offers. Thanks for your support!)

    Quick ?

Is it possible to apply for BOTH a personal and business card from Chase in time for this promotion?

If so, is it best to apply at the same exact time for both cards or do one and wait some time and do the other (I’m looking to qualify for the Companion Pass in early Jan to have it for the full two years).

    Thanks!

@ Nate — You should be able to apply for the business and personal card on the same day. I’d do it at the same time as you shouldn’t have any issues.
