A couple of weeks ago I outlined the details of Hilton’s fourth quarter promotion, entitled “More Nights, More Points.” It’s valid for stays between October 10, 2013 and January 31, 2014, and is pretty straightforward — you earn double base points for stays of two nights, triple base points for stays of three nights, and quadruple base points for stays of four or more nights.

While I don’t love Hilton points this is definitely a lucrative promotion for road warriors, since you can ultimately earn up to 57 points per dollar spent at Hilton hotels. Like most Hilton promotions there’s a massive list of excluded properties, though, so be sure to check that list before booking any future stays.

Anyway, registration for the promotion is now open, and required prior to check-out of your first stay in order to qualify.

does the promotion earning depend on if one selects POINTS AND POINTS or if one selects POINTS AND VARIABLE MILES (with airlines)? the promo is for multiplying the base points earned, not the bonus points earned. hence would we earn the same regardless which points early style we select in our HH profile?

@ Eric FD — Nope, you get it either way since they’re just increasing the number of base points.

Point of clarification: the additional points earned through this promotion are not base points; they’re bonus points. This is an important distinction since base points count towards elite tier qualification, whereas bonus points do not. Here’s the applicable question and answer from the FAQs:

What type of points will HHonors members be issued for this promotion?

Members will have the opportunity to earn Bonus Points. Standard HHonors Terms and Conditions apply. There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that can be earned during the Promotion Period.
