Bottom Line

Earlier this year I booked the Ultimate Golf trip on an AA award in British Airways First Class for only 67,500 miles one-way and another one-way AA award ticket on American Airlines 777 in First Class for only 67,500 miles.

The cost per mile using this promotion is $0.0187. If I needed American Airlines miles this price is a point where I’d be a buyer. But of course YMMV.

  1. The price works out at 2 cents. I bought the 60K plus 30k bonus and was also charged a Federal Excise Tax of $135 which bumbped the price up.
