This morning at 6 am Alex pinged me about the Southwest Business Card offer increasing to 50,000 on the Southwest website. He’s plugged into Southwest and recently announced their San Juan & Memphis promotion as well as his hunch about an upcoming promotion, so I wasn’t surprised he picked up on it so quickly. I was already out to breakfast and didn’t have the chance to blog about it. Now the Personal card has also been increased to 50,000 bonus points.
50,000 Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Card Offer
Now, I don’t know how long this will last, but a few things are for certain. First, this offer does come around once in a while. Second, the best time to sign up for this offer is early in the year because you’ll have enough time to build points to qualify for Southwest’s Companion Pass. The Campion Pass allows members to bring a companion to fly with them once they’ve flown 100 qualifying one-way flights or 110,000 Qualifying Points in a Calendar year. Does this mean that it doesn’t make sense to apply for this offer now? No. But it may make more sense for those who are close to reaching the 110,000 Qualifying Point threshold than those who are not. If you are starting from zero, you should have a plan to reach the 110,000 Qualifying Points.
- I speculate a nationwide Southwest promotion is on the way
- Two new Southwest promos: San Juan and Memphis
- Southwest opens up schedule into April 2014
