What’s Your Go-To Leather Work Bag

I’ve had an old Hartmann leather bag for years. It held up well for a few years, was torn, repaired with the old warranty and generally worked well. But Samsonite purchased Hartmann back in 2012 and didn’t carry over the warranty. So anyone with a Hartmann bag is out of luck. So much for the lifetime warranty. So ever since then I’ve been looking for a new leather briefcase.

Earlier this year we gave away an @work bag from Briggs & Riley and those bags looked cool. But I had my heart set on a leather briefcase. Call me old fashioned but leather makes for a great briefcase bag, especially when it comes with a fantastic warranty like Briggs & Riley offers. My experience with Briggs & Riley’s warranty on my 21 inch one-touch carry-on has been fantastic.

  1. I have a leather and canvas work bag I bought at the Boeing gift shop in St. Louis about 10 years ago. It has a nice Boeing metal logo clasp and has great pockets. No warranty that in know of but it is still in great shape.

  2. I have had several leather Kenneth Cole bags and they served their purpose well. More recently, I’ve been using a
Briggs & Riley canvas clamshell backpack and I love it. The new leather Briggs & Riley backpack looks like it may be a worthy replacement.
