In addition US Airways is adding some extra sections as well.  In anticipation of the passenger demand for flights to/from the 2014 Super Bowl, US Airways has loaded 5 extra section non-stop flights between SEA and EWR. All will be flown with an Airbus A321 aircraft with a seating configuration for 187 customers.

Bottom Line

It’s not uncommon to see airlines adding additional service for sporting events such as the Super Bowl. In past year’s Delta has seem to always add additional service as well.

These added flights are in addition to United’s regularly scheduled New York-Denver and New York-Seattle service. They normally operate five daily flights each way between Denver and Newark Liberty and La Guardia airports, and two daily flights each way between Seattle and Newark.

It’s important to note that some of these flights that United added are on their 777 aircraft, so that would be my first choice if it was me, but also take a look at the US Airways flights.

Who do you want this year, the Broncos or Seahawks?
