Marriott has launched their summer promotion, which is valid for stays from June 1 and August 31, 2014.
There are apparently four different targeted the offers with the primary offer being double points, up to 25,000 bonus points.
To earn up to 25,000 bonus points:
- Register by July 31, 2014
- Stay between June 1 and August 31, 2014
- Earn double points after your second paid stay*, up to 25,000 bonus points
Per this Flyertalk thread there are three other offers out there, and the best way to see if you qualify for a better offer is to Sign into your Marriott Rewards Promotion Central for your 2014 Mid-Year “Getaway Bonus”.
Other promotions people have reported are a 20,000- 30,000 point bonus after a given amount of stays.
Bottom Line
Double points doesn’t excite me that much with Marriott for their summer bonus.

My bonus goes up to 45,000 points. Of course, I have zero Marriott stays planned during that time frame.
To earn up to 45,000 bonus points:
Earn 35,000 bonus points after 20 paid nights, plus an additional 10,000 bonus points after 25 paid nights, up to 45,000 bonus points
Mine is 25k. Crappy promotion. That is a lot of nights for points enough for one free night.
Double points after your 2nd stay, so beginning with your 3rd stay? Or double points beginning with the 2nd stay?
Mine was 20,000 bonus points after 12 stays, plus an additional 10,000 points after 18 stays, up to 30,000 bonus points. I’m Marriott Gold, and this promotion will more than double my Marriott haul for each stay. Based on the rate I pay, this is more than a 250% increase. Instead of earning just my usual 18,000 points, I’ll earn over 48,000 points after staying 18 nights.
