Last week we ran a small giveaway here at Points, Miles & Martinis to offer one winner this sleek, brown colored Viktor Rolf KLM Business Class amenity kit. Since it was unopened, the contents were unknown. So we thought it would be fun to ask our readers what their favorite item to find inside an amenity kit. The responses were great, both in the comments and on twitter.
My favorite item to find inside an amenity kit is a pair of slippers or socks. Most airlines offer a pair of socks to Business Class members. My favorite pair of socks in any Business Class I’ve ever experience has got to be Singapore’s combo socks / slippers I received on my Singapore ICN to SIN flight last year. They are probably the most comfortable pair of socks I’ve ever been given on an airplane and they almost double as a pair of slippers. Other than that, their Business Class amenity kit is pretty sparse.

KLM was offering up to 65% discount for their World Business Class during the Thanksgiving break so we decided to give away a KLM amenity kit. They are going for pretty penny on ebay these days so there was a little bit of interest. To enter for a chance to win the KLM Viktor Rolf amenity kit we asked our readers to do either one of the qualifying actions:
- Tweet us @weeklyflyer with your favorite item to find inside an amenity kit while on an airplane
- Leave a comment in this post with your favorite item to find inside an amenity kit while on an airplane

We chose the Ritz Carlton Singapore for our first stay in Singapore. It was really late when my Singapore Airlines flight landed from Korea. I had pre-arranged transportation from the hotel, but could not find my driver. Good thing, because the trip from the airport to the hotel is only about 20 minutes and I… continue reading
I boarded flight 608 from Singapore to Seoul very much looking to stretching out in Singapore Air’s large, comfy Business Class seats. During my flight from Seoul to Singapore, I felt like two people could have sat in the seat, so I thought I’d get a full 5 or 6 hour rest before arriving in… continue reading
I got a call from my driver that the car was waiting downstairs as I was finishing my last drink in Singapore. I closed my tab at the Fullerton Bay Lantern Rooftop Bar and Lounge, said my goodbyes and hopped into the S Class Mercedes for the 25 minute ride to the airport. My first… continue reading
I was amazed when I flew Singapore Airlines Business Class for the first time last year. Not only was the seat the best I’ve ever flown, but the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. I’ve only flown Singapore on a paid ticket but have always kept an eye out for opportunities to… continue reading
The Fullerton Bay hotel in Singapore sits on Singapore’s Marina Bay waterfront. With the city skyline behind it and the bay in front of it, the views from the rooftop bar are surreal for any first time visitor to Singapore. The hotel was ranked as the third best new business hotel in Singapore in 2012… continue reading
The next six hours in my Singapore Business Class seat were eye-opening. This was my first flight on Singapore Airlines. I’ve always wanted to experience their Business Class service and it didn’t disappoint. I’m not sure if it was the jet lag or the three glasses of champagne but I felt like Alex did when… continue reading
A few weeks ago I set out to cancel my First Class Singapore Airlines award tickets. My goal was to cancel the ticket with as little out of pocket cost in terms of miles and dollars. Gary of View from the Wing, shared his thoughts on how to save the most money when cancelling an… continue reading
Alex shared our monster day of airline award bookings earlier this week. We couldn’t have done it without this crazy points and miles hobby of ours. But as you know, flights are only half of an award trip. So we spent the next few days plotting out our hotel stays and booked over 25 award… continue reading

A frenzy of First Class award booking has been going on over at Singapore Air. We are no stranger to the “book now, think later” approach to award booking.
