La Quinta Gives Status and Discounts to Military

I will be the first to admit that I can’t remember the last time I stayed at a La Quinta Inn, but I remember them as pleasant middle of the road hotels.  Reader Mike M. turned my on to their incredible support for military members.  Discounts and free status are always great and this certainly beats what any other hotel chain is offering out there.

The box above is easily found on their home page at www.lq.com.   Hitting the button there takes you to a whole military based page which lists military-related charities they support, jobs they offer to veterans, a military blog, and this deal for all Service Members: 12% off their best rates, Gold Status, 2000 bonus points after your first stay and +20% points with each stay.  Obtaining Gold status would normally take 10 nights in a calendar year, so that’s a significant leg up.

I found their military blog to be very interesting and helps me relate to the military spouse point of view.  Cause my wife says I never understand her point of view!  This is a great offer if you want to stay inexpensively when you travel and I really appreciate their efforts to hire our recent vets.  Check it out.
