AirBerlin’s topbonus program is offering new members a 1,500 point bonus for enrolling. That’s not enough to redeem directly for anything, but there are a couple other promotions which can help stack on top of that, too.
The 1,500 mile sign-up bonus is split into two parts:

1,000 award miles as a welcome gift

Up to 500 additional award miles for selecting "email" as the form of communication and registering for the topbonus communication.
In addition to the sign-up bonus there is also a partner bonus opportunity available with topbonus allowing customers to earn up to 3,000 bonus points for three partner activities before 31 August 2013.
- If you have two partner activities from any of our 120 or so topbonus partners any time between 15th June and 31st August 2013 you will be rewarded with a one-off 2,000 topbonus award miles extra.
- Or if you enjoy three or more partner activities from any of our partners you will be rewarded with a one-off 3,000 extra miles. Don’t miss out on all these extra miles!
The partners list includes many of the usual suspects but also some interesting free options such as earning points for a hotel review.
Free is good. I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to accrue in the topbonus program – I think there are more valuable oneworld partner programs to credit flights to most of the time. But free is free, so….
