JetBlue launches Badges: Free points for your social media loyalty

JetBlue launched a new program today – TrueBlue Badges – offering free points for their TrueBlue members based on participating in social media activities related to the company and the loyalty program. I wrote up an analysis of the program for APEX and I think that it is a very intriguing new play in the loyalty program space.

Unlike badges earnt in most similar programs the TrueBlue Badges offer up a lot of options to get real rewards in the form of points in their program. Share your activities with friends, fly more or interact with partners and you can earn extra points on top of all the other benefits from the program. Just signing up can net you a thousand points or so from the various share promos

Definitely an interesting new approach in loyalty programs.
