So, who doesn’t want 90% off a JetBlue flight out of NYC??

If that’s you, stop reading now.

For everyone still reading, welcome to JetBlue‘s Hot Seats promotion. The company is offering up a very limited number of seats from now through July 20th should the temperature in Central Park go above 90 degrees.

The discount will be available only on a very limited number of flights and a limited number of seats on those flights. Travel dates for the deal will be included in the details of the promo codes when they are released.

Without knowing the price, dates or destination there are certainly a few reasons to be hesitant with this deal. But it is already 84 degrees before 10am here today meaning the 90 degree threshold isn’t likely to be a problem. Plus, I don’t really care where I fly to most of the time so I’m going to be online in a couple hours hoping to get a seat.

Besides, I also need to fly JetBlue a bit more to earn more badges.

  1. JetBlue has some of the coolest promotions. Not helpful to me since I’m not based in NYC (and it’s incredibly expensive to position there), but lots of luck in grabbing an interesting flight.

  2. Did you see which destinations are discounted? I don’t want to book a trip until I know what my options are, but the discount doesn’t shop up until you make the reservations…

  3. I saw r/t to Florida or PWM for <$100 and West coast for <$150. There were reports of the Caribbean being in the ~$150 range as well, though I never verified those.

The Monday return killed it for me so I'll wait for tomorrow's version of the deal to see if I can find something which works better for me.

  4. Have a great trip, Heather!

I need to be in NYC on Sunday night so none of the deals worked for me. I was hoping that a booking today or tomorrow would have made it possible but they cut the promo early due to such high demand.

I was able to use the 25% off coupon yesterday to book a work trip out to California in early September, so that was good.
