You can now earn United/Continental Elite bonus when flying ANA

Don’t know how I missed this, from Apr 1st, united Elite can earn Elite Bonus when flying ANA, in addition, earning ratio had changed to better

For  TRANSPACIFIC, INTRA-JAPAN WITH INTERNATIONAL CONNECTION AND INTRA-ASIA FLIGHTS (NOT INCLUDING FLIGHTS BETWEEN JAPAN AND AUSTRALIA, CHINA, INDIA, OR KOREA):

You will earn 100% base miles on many discounted economy fares.

For other flights,  base miles earning fare class still the same.

This made United/Continental Elite can earn Elite bonus on all UA, CO, US, LH and most AC, now all NH flights.

I actually flew NH yesterday and was awared of this (this is why i flew NH). The good thing is that it narrows the gap with DL in term of elite bonus. DL does not give elite bonus on VN, and will see if they do that on MU as they join ST. Many lower fare classes on KE fare that used to earn miles and elite bonus on NW are no longer miles accuring on DL. with all the changes, DL is definitely not competitively with UA in Asia.

This isn’t too surprising to me considering back in April AAdvantage elites started to earn elite status bonuses on JAL flights.
