In addition to adding Priority Pass Select membership that you can register for American Express Platinum and Centurion (Business and Personal) Cards will be getting the $100 application fee for Global Entry credited back to their card accounts.
Global Entry is a ‘trusted traveler’ program that requires an interview and fingerprinting and then gets you front of line treatment of immigration (or use of machines) and customs.

The benefit is available to Consumer and Business Platinum Card® and Centurion® members only. To receive a $100 statement credit, Card member must complete the Global Entry application and pay for the fee with a valid Consumer and Business Platinum Card® or Centurion® Card. If an Account has Additional Cards, the Cards are eligible for $100 per Card. If approved, membership into the Global Entry program is valid for 5 years without additional charges and subject to the program’s terms and conditions. The $100 application fee must be paid regardless of a decision by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is required to process the application. Membership is per person, and a separate application must be completed for each individual. Individuals under 14 years of age are not eligible for this program.
Please allow 6-8 weeks after the qualifying Global Entry transaction is charged to your Card account for statement credit(s) to be posted to the account. Card members can call the number on the back of the Card if statement credits have not posted after 8 weeks from the date of purchase. Card members are responsible for payment of all charges until the statement credit(s) posts to the account. To be eligible for this benefit, Card account(s) must be active and not in default at the time of statement credit fulfillment.
It’s a $100 per cardmember benefit, not amazing but on top of the $200 airline fee credit recently added and other new benefits it’s good to see American Express getting aggressive again with their higher-end products.

When you factor in that both a third and fourth card are free, this benefit, plus the $200 airline credit (which is not per card, but rather per combined account), plus traditional amex lounge access plus priority pass select and traditional fhr makes a $625 combined fee for four cards one of the best deals going for premium travel.
Gary: I have been trying to access the priority pass since you put the info up yesterday. Have you heard of anyone else having problems trying to access it? It lets me enter my info, but then says the system is down and try later.

Great news about both Global entry and priority pass. I’ve been waiting for a good excuse to join and free is good enough of a reason for me. Also great that Global entry is good for five years. So far I’ve been extremely impressed with the card.

2. aarrgghh…. i applied for my GE pass last week. I would’ve waited if there had been _at least_ a rumor of this happening. and an FYI for those considering GE: if you travel to or are near Canada, get the NEXUS instead. It’s $50 instead of $100 and once you’re approved, you get GE thrown in for free; both programs at 1/3 the price…

Does anyone know if you you are limited to one Global Entry fee rebate per year or if you be allowed to gift Global Entry to a family member or co-worker each year? If the latter were the case, the benefit would be worth $100 per year rather than $100 over five years (i.e., $20 per year)
