American Express Business Gold Rewards: 50,000 points after $5000 spending within 3 months, no fee the first year.
It was supposed to last through the 26th, but I just got word that this offer is being pulled in the afternoon tomorrow, November 20th.
So only one day left to apply, contra my earlier post this morning.
As I explained this morning, the standard offer for this card doesn’t even come with any signup bonus at all. And the spending requirement on this offer is half the usual for when there is a bonus attached.
This offer is 50,000 points after $5000 spend within 3 months. Which for most people is even better than the occasional 75,000 point offers (that usually only are around for a day) that require $10,000 spending to receive the points.
There’s no fee the first year, $175 thereafter, and the card earns triple points on airfare and double points on purchases in the U.S. for advertising in select media, gasoline at U.S. stand-alone gas stations, and shipping, as well as of course one point on other purchases.
I got the card myself back in December when there was a 50,000 point signup bonus and $10,000 required spend. So I cannot get it again. It was worth it to me with the higher spending requirement, so the lower one is certainly attractive.
The signup bonuses for the Chase Ink Bold Charge Card and Chase Ink Plus business credit card are both a bit more attractive — both offer 50,000 points with the same amount of spending, but Chase points are in my opinion worth more than American Express Membership Rewards points. So if you were only going to get one card, I’d say the Chase options are better. But since they come from different issuers you can, of course, get both…
Do know that the credit card links in this post, which represent the best available offers I’m aware of for each card, do offer referral credit to me if you use them to apply. So I greatly appreciate it if you choose to. Thanks!
