Via canucklehead in the Milepoint thread discussing Frequent Traveler University, Marriott is back with its MegaBonus promotion — one free night (at a category 1-4 property) after two stays, and you can earn the bonus twice.

Registation is required.

  • Register by March 31, 2014
  • Stay between February 1 and April 30, 2014
  • Free night award will expire one (1) year after the date of issuance.

Some members get targeted for other offers instead:

  • Their free nights are valid for up to category 5 instead of category 4.
  • Additional 1,000 bonus points per stay for up to 10,000 bonus points on top of the free nights (capped at category 4).
  • Bonus points instead of free nights (40,000 – 55,000 for as many as 45 nights during the promotion period).

Marriott has, in the psat, been willing to switch promotions for elite members who ask.

Cat 1-4 certs are worth less and less each year. I’ll never be participating in one of these promos again if that’s the “prize”.

    It says category 5:

To earn up to two free nights:
    •Register by March 31, 2014
    •Stay between February 1 and April 30, 2014
•Earn a free night at a category 1-5 hotel after the second paid stay External Window, up to two free nights

jim, different offers go out to different accounts, my offer also states category 1-4 sadly

My offer is for Cat 5.

Plenty of good Courtyard locations at Cat 5. Some decent Residence Inns even at Cat 4. Perfect for a one night airport stay.

    Promotion link is dead

  7. Antonio said,

Problem solved. One must be a points earner rather than a miles earner in order to see the promotion.
