Etihad Airways has announced the launch of its all-new A321LR, which will feature widebody levels of luxury and comfort on short- and medium-haul routes. Etihad A321LR will enter service in August 2025 with 10 aircraft flying to a dozen destinations across Africa, Europe and Asia.
New First Suites: A Widebody Experience on a Narrowbody Aircraft
A significant highlight of the A321LR is the introduction of Etihad’s First Suites. With just two suites onboard the single-aisle aircraft, the fully enclosed First Suites will feature a sliding door, lie-flat bed, elevated dining options, and bespoke design elements. Guests will also find a companion seat within the suite and enjoy entertainment on a 20-inch 4K screen, which will support Bluetooth pairing and wireless charging.

The Business Class cabin will feature 14 seats arranged in a herringbone 1-1 layout, with every seat offering direct aisle access. Each seat will recline into a fully flat 78-inch bed. The Business Class seat will feature a 17.3-inch 4K entertainment screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging options, and increased personal storage space.

Economy Class on the A321LR will feature 144 seats designed for comfort and functionality. Each seat will measure 18.4 inches wide, making it among the widest Economy seats available on narrowbody aircraft today. Economy seats will offer up to 5 inches of recline paired with 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens. Guests will also benefit from USB charging ports and Etihad’s upgraded next-generation entertainment system.

First Class Experience Beyond the Aircraft
In the UAE and First Class destinations, guests will receive a private chauffeur service to and from the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, they will be personally escorted through dedicated check-in areas, into the Etihad First Lounge, and onto the aircraft. For deplaning, First passengers will be accompanied from the aircraft door to their waiting chauffeur, with porter services managing luggage.
In Abu Dhabi, additional enhancements include complimentary Home Check-In and the Land & Leave service, offering a baggage-free airport experience. When flights board remotely at Zayed International Airport, the first guests will be driven directly to the aircraft door in a private limousine.
