最近の悩み | 新規メンバー獲得 vs 既存メンバーとより交流
バックグランド 当ブログを始めた約12年前は、クレジットカードを利用してマイル＆ポイントを貯めて旅行に使うということは怪しい活動でした。 本当にそんなことができるのか？ カード会社のBlacklistに入るんじゃないか？ だから実際にマイル＆ポイントを貯め旅行している様子をブログで発信しよう！と思い始めました。当時は怪しい趣味扱いされていたので、同じようなことをやっている人たちは周りにいませんでしたし、アメリカ在住の日本人でも発信している人はいなく私が初めて詳しく情報を出していった感じでした。 とにかくマイル＆ポイントはすごいんだよ～と伝えたくてブログを書きまくりました(合計で3,000記事以上書きました)。最初は自分と同じような状況の人（アメリカで研究していて資金に余力がそれほどない人）に特に届いて欲しいと思ってました。 お蔭様で2019年にLAでオフ会をやったり、それ以降はオンラインコミュニティSPTを作り、さらにここ数年のSNSでマイル＆ポイント活動が一般化したことで、以前の怪しい趣味が、今はやらないと損だよ！とほとんどの人が知っているような節約術になりました。 ここに来て私は最近悩んでいます。この記事で何に対して私は悩んでいるのか？を詳しく書いてみたいと思います。 もう1人じゃない 当時はマイル＆ポイントのことを日本語で会話できる仲間が欲しかったのです。マイル＆ポイントの素晴らしさについて語りたい。 でも当時マイル＆ポイントの情報は全て英語でした。もちろんアメリカ在住日本人で英語で情報収集している人はいたでしょう。でも現在2026年のSNSのように日本語での会話はありませんでした。自分の母国語でマイル＆ポイントを語りたい。それが私の夢でした。 マイル＆ポイントのお得さがより表面に出てきて、SNSのお蔭でさらに広がり、日本語でアメリカのマイル＆ポイントについての会話は毎日されてるようになりました。 つまり、もう1人じゃなくなったのです。仲間が非常に増えました。それと同時に、当時目標にしていた、アメリカでのマイル＆ポイント活動というものを怪しいことではなく、Positiveな意味を持った趣味として認識されるようになった、その役目をある意味果たしたのかなと感じてます。 コミュニティが盛り上がる 有料ClosedコミュニティのSPTができるまでは、誰でもアクセスできるXや当ブログなどでマイル＆ポイントの知識を持った人たちのやり取りがありました。 しかし、誰もがアクセスできるので詳しい情報を記載するのは気が引けたり、とてもいいDealや裏技的なことを見つけても消滅して欲しくないからあえてシェアしなかったり。情報がOpenだからこそ起きた問題も数々あります。 これらの問題をSPTコミュニティを作ることで解決できたと思います。さらにSPTに入るとみんなマイル＆ポイントが好きな人ばかりなので、友達になることだってできる。SPTにいると、自然とマイル＆ポイントをたくさん貯めれるような環境になりやすい。 まさに当ブログを始めた理想がSPTで実現できたのです。それと同時にブログとXの投稿は誰に向けて発信したらいいのか悩むことが増えました。 読者のレベル別に発信を考える？ ブログ＆Xはビギナーよりの情報 SPTは裏技的な方法など上級者向け という位置づけで投稿しているつもりです。私はもちろん上級者なので自分が楽しいと感じる内容はSPTにある内容です。15年ぐらいマイル＆ポイントを貯めているので、基礎知識は誰よりもあると自負しています。 でも、知識があることは、今ビギナー向けに情報発信できるわけでは必ずしもないと最近感じます。今この環境でのビギナーは10年前のビジナーとは悩むことも違うだろうし、オンラインに転がっている情報量も異なります。 なので、純粋にXではビギナー向けに情報発信したとしても、実際上手にできるだろうか？少し不安があります。 SPTを潤すには新規メンバーも必要 なぜXで情報発信をまだやっているのか？ 今までやってきたし、今更辞めるのは正直もったいない。そんな気持ちもありますが、今はブログへのアクセスはAIのサマリーが簡単に見れるようになってからガクッと下がりました。 だから現時点ではブログよりもSNSでの発信の方が効果は高いと思います。それが理由でまだXで発信したい、どのようにすればより情報が届くのか？そう悩んでいます。 さらに、Xやブログで交流した人がもっとマイル＆ポイントを本気でやりたい！と思ったらSPTに入ってきてもらって別レベルのマイル＆ポイント活動をお見せできたらと思ってます。 二兎追う者は一兎をも得ず 昔から有名なことわざがありますよね。国語が大の苦手だった私でも覚えていることわざです。 同時に2つのことを成し遂げようと欲張ると、結局どちらも失敗してしまうという意味のことわざです。 Xでビギナー向けに情報発信もしたいし、SPTで裏技ではしゃぎたい Xで新規メンバー開拓したいし、SPTでは既存メンバーとワイワイ交流深めたい 自分の性格的に友達は多くなくていいから、数人仲良しが欲しいタイプなのでひたすらSPTに篭ってわちゃわちゃする方が合っているとは思うんです。 でも理論上、循環のない環境はいつか廃れていくというのを理解しているので、定期的に数人ずつぐらいはSPTに入って来てもらいたい。それをするにはやはりブログやXで情報発信しないといけないと思うのです。 でもどちらも同じだけ力を注ぐのは非常に難しいし大変。どちらかに偏ってしまう。どっちも中途半端になるなら1つに絞った方がいいのではないか？ まとめ 本音は自分が最も楽しめること1つに絞りたい。 しかし、長期的に見ると、それが正しいのかはわからない。 なので非常に悩んでいます。
