Lounge Review: United Club – Boston Logan (BOS)
…Large outstation lounge with extensive buffet, great views, and private offices

The United Club at Boston Logan deserves its reputation as one of the finest United Club lounges that’s not in a United hub. But United offers a lot of flights to its hubs from Boston and this large lounge reflects the importance of Boston to its route network. The lounge is located near gate B24 and travelers take an elevator up one flight to enter the lounge. Highlights are the very extensive buffet and private offices.

After presenting your credentials at the large customer service desk, you take a right and to enter the lounge. One is immediately struck by the large size of the lounge. Frequent United flyers will immediately recognize the mid-2010s aesthetic: beiges, faux white marble, clean lines, and a variety of seating (sit down tables, high top tables, blue designer chairs, wider chairs). I like the vintage United photos that adorn the lounge.

Along the left wall of the lounge, almost immediately upon entry is the food and beverage station. There is an espresso machine and coffee dispenser (regular and decaf). Passengers then can chose from juices from a refrigerator below and soft drinks that are on the bar. The buffet follows, and it’s one of the larger buffets of any domestic club featuring scrambled eggs, grilled veggies, potatoes, hot and cold cereal, pastries, breads, fresh fruit, cheeses and meats. Starting at lunch: clam chowder is offered.

Tables and chairs are across from the buffet. Along the wall and across from the buffet is the large attractive bar. As is typical, there is a charge for premium drinks. You will immediately notice the floor to ceiling windows all through the lounge. Since it was pre-sunrise, there were limited views of the tarmac.
There is a large seating area in the back that is much less crowded than the areas near the buffet. Keep walking in the back and you will notice two large private offices: perfect for phone/zoom calls.
I rate this lounge 6.5/10. Best features: The buffet and offices. Flaws: I find the mid-2010 aesthetic to be bit sterile: little splash of color could elevate the look of the lounge.
