Lounge Review: Chase Sapphire Lounge – Terminal B – NY Laguardia (LGA)

by Adam Stuart | July 24, 2024 | 0 Comments

one of the most beautiful spaces in the US

When: January 27, 2024

Rating – 9.5/10 – Supreme (3 hours before departure)

Access – via Priority Pass through Sapphire Reserve Card. Note: If you have priority pass through another card, you can only have one free visit to any Sapphire lounge annually.

Maybe the nicest Priority Pass Lounge in the US. Beautiful space with a pre-plated buffet, made to order items brought to your table, an inventive and beautiful (and free) cocktail bar, an arcade, and even a spa for facials! This sets a new standard for domestic lounges.

This is one of the most visually stunning lounges I have ever seen and marks a huge upgrade for LaGuardia.  It shows the importance of the NY market to Chase (there is a smaller Chase lounge at JFK). It’s even more surprising when you consider that LGA only provides short-haul domestic traffic. The lounge is in the new terminal B – right next to the Centurion lounge and is near the bridge to gates 41 to 59, which serves Air Canada, Jetblue, Southwest and United. Access is easy to American Airline (also terminal B) passengers too.

Access is limited to three hours before departure time.  You go down a hallway and take an elevator down to access the lounge. There are no views whatsoever – but considering how incredible the décor is – the lack of views was irrelevant to me. The lounge is spread across 2 levels and surrounds a huge tree that goes to the second floor. The second floor is much quieter. Most of the action is on the ground floor. The food options are either a pre-plated buffet – with many excellent options OR you can order made to order items by scanning a code – and the proactive staff will bring your food directly to where you are seating. Having a la carte dining really puts lounges into a higher tier. The circular bar looks like a NYC cocktail lounge – not a bar in an airport lounge, and it has endless signature drink options. In addition, the lounge has a spa with free facials and an arcade room! The only thing missing is shower suites, which are only available to those who book one of the three reserve suites. Then again, with few connections and short flights, maybe showers are not that important?

This lounge is a reason to arrive early at LaGuardia!

I rate this lounge 9.5/10. Best features: Amazing food, friendly proactive staff, and the décor. Flaws: No showers. No tarmac views.
