Review: United/Air Canada Arrivals Lounge – London Heathrow (LHR) Terminal 2

by Adam Stuart | September 19, 2025 | 0 Comments

Shower, recharge, and have breakfast

This lounge checks all the boxes of an arrivals lounge for business class travelers taking overnight flights across the Atlantic.

The summary

Located just outside of baggage claim and customs at Terminal 2 of London Heathrow, this United/Air Canada lounge is designed for business class travelers taking red-eye flights. It is open only till 2 PM. Eligible arriving passengers can freshen up, get a bit of work done, and have breakfast before heading into central London.

The entry is clearly marked: it’s just to the left after emerging from baggage claim.

After presenting your credentials, you can turn right to go into the single, main lounge area or be escorted straight ahead to a shower suite. There are at least a dozen showers! I have never seen so many showers in a lounge. They are not luxurious but are very well appointed. Nothing beats a shower after a long flight! On site staff will iron your clothes if needed.

After showering, I headed into the main lounge area. It’s just one room, simply furnished with traditional tables and hi-top table where I plugged in. Internet connectivity was fast and there were US/Canadian as well as UK charging outlets.

Breakfast was a highlight. There is an extensive buffet: fruits, granola, cereals, baked goods, smoothies, infused water, juices, coffee/espresso, and more. I like how the printed menu listed the buffet items.

There are also a la carte breakfast items. I ordered sort of off the menu – just a couple of poached eggs. They were delicious and arrived around 10 minutes after ordering. They were perfect with my toast and coffee.

I should also mention the hard-working staff. Many performed dual roles but were friendly and professional

The wrap

The details. Date – September 17, 2025. Rating: Excellent. Access: Arriving on a Polaris

What I like: The breakfast, the showers, the staff.

What I don’t like: Well, the main room could use a refresh – but that’s a minor thing.

It’s an interesting time for Greece’s Aegean Airlines, as the airline has plans to start flying (sort of) long haul. However, unfortunately we’re going to have to wait longer than expected for that to happen at the Star Alliance carrier, though I’m not sure the airline is sharing the full...
