Review: United Club – Denver (DEN), Concourse A

Two-floor lounge with Colorado aesthetic serves United’s growing presence in Denver’s A concourse

The summary

The lounge is near gate A24 of Denver International’s A concourse.  Although less sumptuous than its larger counterparts in the B concourse (where most United flights operate from), the lounge has the same aesthetic that invokes Colorado and Denver, with plenty of wood accents and fireplaces. The lounge is on two levels and guests ascend an escalator to arrive at the entry. Like most new United Clubs, there is a scanned entry, although a customer service agent is present to assist travelers.

The two floors are nearly identical. They have similar bars, similar seating, similar décor, similar buffets, and washrooms. The lower floor of the lounge is larger. After entry, guests are confronted with a customer service desk on the far left. The floor is a large rectangle surrounding the escalators that guests use to ascend into the lounge. There is a variety of seating throughout: sofas, tables, typical lounge chairs, high-top tables.

The buffet is opposite the entry and, at dinner, had hot items such as chicken, vegetables, pasta, salad, charcuterie, fruits, and deserts. There is a large coffee station that includes an espresso machine. There is also an infused water station. The bar itself is to the right of entry and is attractive, with a charge for premium offerings (a feature of all United Clubs other than London).

To ascend to the upper level, most guests have to walk up a flight of stairs, although there is an elevator that is sort of hidden in the corner.  Again, there is a large variety of seating throughout this level. Many of the chairs overlook the concourse, although there are some seats with tarmac views.  There is some locally-themed artwork throughout the lounge. There is a foosball table on this floor – but since a family was using it, I declined to take a picture. There is also a separate sort of room that is perfect for large groups.

The upper floor buffet was well stocked for dinner: it mirrored the buffet one floor below. I actually liked the bar better on the upper level for some reason.

As in all United Clubs, Internet was very fast and there were outlets near every seat. The staff throughout was very friendly. At 630 PM, the lounge was not that crowded.

the details: Date: December 20, 2025. Rating: Very fine. Access: United Club member.

….What I like: The locally-themed décor, the large size, the friendly staff.

—What I don’t like: There was no escalator to get to the upper floor – not good with carryon luggage.
