Review: Delta Sky Club – New York LaGuardia, Terminal C

by Adam Stuart | January 16, 2026 | 0 Comments

Large, luxurious, crowded

Delta’s Sky Club and LaGuardia airport is a beautiful and large space that is very luxurious, sports 2 bars, buffets, an all – weather deck, and New York- themed décor.

The summary

The lounge is one of the largest lounges in the Delta network and is located just left of the security checkpoint in Terminal C, where Delta runs its hub and where it is the only airline tenant. After entry, travelers ascend one level to the lounge. Guests will immediately notice the luxurious décor, plush seating, and artwork the adorns the walls throughout. An attractive seating area immediately greets guests at the top of the escalators.

I think of the lounge as having four separate sections: The main bar and buffet section to the right after entry; a work-oriented section, running along the far wall behind the bar and buffet; a third section providing a second soft drink station, second bar, and all-weather deck; and a large seating area and second buffet, which is found to the left and then u-turn after entry.

The main bar is rather large and has an upscale feel. Since it is near the entry, it was very crowded this late afternoon. Like all Sky Club bars, there are many complimentary offerings (including some cocktails) as well as some charged premium offerings. There are printed menus physically attached to the bar or there are hand-held menus., Just past the bar is an attractive wine wall. There is a large high-top table across from the bar. Behind that table is a glass divider which divides the bar area from the dining tables by the buffet. Past the bar, guests will notice a wall of televisions, which were showing sports.

The main buffet is across from the bar. It starts with the stations for coffee/espresso/soft drinks and infused water.

The food buffet is rather large. Hot offerings include hot chicken, eggplant stew, cooked potatoes. There are a variety of cooked vegetables and salads, including a shrimp salad. Other items include sandwiches, soups, charcuterie, and a few dessert items. However, I have seen more interesting food options at other Sky Clubs. There is plenty of seating between the bar and the buffet.

The second section is a work-focused area on the far side of the buffet and that runs the length of the lounge and is itself divided by the tv wall. This section has some nice-looking private phone booths, a printer, semi-private work cubicles, typical lounge chairs and some communal style tables. Naturally, outlets were everywhere – in this section and throughout the lounge..

The third section is a secondary beverage/coffee station, bar and all-weather deck, which is found directly past the main buffet, heading straight ahead. I love the subway tiles above the coffee station here. This second bar is blissfully quiet. Thanks to the passenger who allowed me to take a picture of her espresso martini. Beyond this bar is one of the lounge’s highlights – the all-weather deck, which was naturally enclosed in January.

The last section is on the left and far left (take a u-turn) past entry. This is the main seating area, which offers plenty of views of the tarmac. There is an incredible variety of seats here: tables, typical chairs, many varieties of sofas, semi-private curbed cubicles, etc.

At the back of this seating area is the second buffet. It is less busy than the main buffet – and smaller – but the food and non-alcoholic beverage options are the same.  There are two washroom locations. This club had something I really appreciate (and have not seen): the ability to waive your hand by a sensor that opens the washroom door automatically. This is a small enhancement, but is the type of thing Delta does well.

This is one of the nicest “regular” domestic lounges out there. It is reminiscent of the Sky Club in Atlanta’s D concourse. There were no showers – but flights in and out of LaGuardia are limited to destinations that are relatively closer to the New York area (none to the West Coast or Europe). Thus, showers are probably not a priority. The Internet was password protected and was very fast.  The staff worked very hard in keeping the lounge clean and uncluttered. The crowding is an issue. If there was an airport that could use an overflow Sky Club, this is it. Boston has three Sky Clubs, JFK has two (excluding Delta One Lounges). LaGuardia would benefit from another – although I am sure space is an issue.

The wrap

the details: Date: January 13, 2026. Rating: Awesome. Access: Delta flight, Platinum Card.

….What I like: The décor, the outdoor deck, the staff.

—What I don’t like: The crowds and the buffet was not that interesting at dinner.
