Review: Turkish Airline Lounge  – Miami Int’l (MIA), Concourse H – J

by Adam Stuart | January 28, 2026 | 0 Comments

A second Turkish Airline Lounge in Miami provides a much-needed lounge for Star Alliance Gold travelers and Priority Pass members. Temper your expectations.

The summary

It is very odd that Turkish Airlines operates two lounges out of Miami. One in Concourse E, and a second in the terminal between Concourses H and J, the latter of which is accessible to many Star Alliance (United, Air Canada, and others) travelers and is being reviewed here. The lounge also serves as a Priority Pass Lounge.

Entry is small – but clearly marked. Guests need to ascend to the upper level by elevator to access the lounge. The elevator lets you off one floor above the departure level, and you have to follow a rather long and uninspired hallway to enter the lounge. The reception desk is very attractive. Once the agent approves your credentials, you enter the lounge to the right.

Upon entry there is an unused baggage storage room to the left. To the right is a work area with a printer, a long worktable, a circular table around a column, and some table seating. Behind this area is a TV room with seats and many television monitors. On the left past entry is a relaxation room, with many chaise lounges. This room was rather popular. To the right is the main room of the lounge.

The food and drink area is straddles the work area and the main room. Two small refrigerators are stocked with soft drinks. There are juices, infused water, and wine. There are also two coffee/espresso machines. The machine for Turkish coffee was inoperative. Oddly, this section of the buffet had some sandwiches (not breakfast sandwiches) at this morning hour. In addition, there were some dinner rolls and some wheat bread with toaster.

Across from the beverage area was the main breakfast buffet. I was a bit disappointed. There was charcuterie, muffins, some roasted potatoes, and some waffles. The highlight was menemen – a Turkish dish that includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices. There was also some salad fixings and cookies.

Behind the food area was the main seating area and bar. And yes, it has many of the design elements that make the Turkish lounge in Dulles so attractive – mainly the furnishings. Nevertheless, this space lacks somehow feels less luxurious than its counterpart at IAD. This area had some nice floor to ceiling windows with views of the tarmac and the J Concourse. However, the windows were not very clean – so the picture was not optimum.

The washrooms and prayer room were behind the main room. Internet access was password protected but I found it very slow. Also, it was a challenge to find outlets. There were no showers.  Based on my visits to the Turkish lounge at Dulles – I was expecting a more refined space. That said, there is no United Club or Maple Leaf Lounge in Miami. So – this lounge represents a decent option for frequent Star Alliance travelers.  United Club/Maple Leaf Club members do not have access unless they have Star Alliance Gold status.

It was very chilly in the entire concourse area. The elevator was inoperative when trying to exit – and there is no passenger stairway. Travelers had to wait to be escorted through a utility staircase.
