Transfer Hyatt Points to ANY Member

One thing hotel programs have, which most airline programs do not, is the ability to combine points with other members.  I recently had to send Shawn some World of Hyatt points since he did a Guest of Honor booking for my two kids, one dad trip to Orlando. I figured I might as well share how to transfer World of Hyatt points to any member and tell you why it is awesome. The best part is this is 100% free to do as well (not always the case with programs).

Hyatt Point Transfers Will Be Coming Online In 2026

There was some good news shared to go along with the brutal program & award chart changes from today. Hyatt is finally keeping up with the Joneses and bringing points transfers online. This is great news and should be immensely helpful once it is live. Here is what World of Hyatt had to say about it:

As World of Hyatt continues to listen closely to members, the program plans to introduce new enhancements designed to make it even more engaging. Later this year, members will be able to share points digitally, making it easier than ever to help a loved one begin their next adventure or turn a special occasion into a shared experience.

I know this has been requested for close to a decade now, so it is nice to see it being added to the program. It is just sad that the news came mixed in with all of the negative changes. Until the transfers move online you can still do it the old way, which is outlined below.

Why Being Able to Transfer Points is Awesome

There are quite a few programs out there that allow you to transfer points to other members.  Some, like Chase Ultimate Rewards, only allow you to transfer to your spouse (or business partners).  That is a pretty good offer, but World of Hyatt lets you transfer points to ANY World of Hyatt member.  Talk about opening a lot of doors.

Being able to transfer Hyatt points to others allows you to combine points with a buddy or player 2 (aka your significant other who plays the miles and points game with you). This unlocks amazing award bookings that you couldn’t book with one person’s account alone.

This is especially true if you are each grabbing a couple of Chase Ultimate Rewards earning card welcome offers, or even a World of Hyatt card welcome offer or two, to book an aspirational stay. Maybe one welcome offer isn’t enough to cover a few days, but combining a few does the trick. That is especially true with the upcoming award chart changes. Things are about to get mighty pricy up in here.

How to Transfer World of Hyatt Points to Any Member?

Now that we covered why combining World of Hyatt points is awesome let’s talk about how to do it. If I have one complaint about Hyatt’s set up it is that you need to fill out a form and email or mail it in.  It isn’t the end of the world but when Hilton let’s you do it online you know you are behind the 8 ball.

Step 1

Pull up the World of Hyatt points transfer form.  You can Google it or just CLICK HERE and then print it off.

Step 2

To fill out the form you will need some key information.  If it is for your significant other this is the easy part.  If you are combining points with a friend or extended family member then you need one person to fill out the form and send it to the other person to fill out their part.  I do this by scanning and emailing it to the other person.  If I am combining points with my wife I just fill everything out for both of us and then have her sign it. This information must match up perfectly with what is on the person’s World of Hyatt account.  The info you will need is:

  • World of Hyatt account numbers for both members
  • Phone number for each member
  • Mailing address of both members
  • The email address of each member
  • Each member will need to sign the form
Step 3

Once the form is filled out you will need to send it to Hyatt in one of two ways:

  • Mail it to World of Hyatt Customer Service, P.O. Box 27089, Omaha, NE
    68127-0089 USA
  • Email it to worldofhyatt@hyatt.com.

Email is the way to go here since it will be a lot quicker and you have a paper trail etc.  I simply scan it and then attach it as a PDF file.  Lately they have been responding within a few days and transferring the points. Just be aware that it could take a week or so at times too. I have even had to submit forms multiple times to get it through. If you have a time sensitive booking then it is best to get started early with this.

What About My Hyatt Concierge Representative?

You could potentially skip some of these hoops if you are a Globalist member with a My Hyatt Concierge rep. You can send the form to them and they will get it processed for you. If you have this option available it will likely be the fastest way for you to transfer Hyatt points to others.

There Is One Rule You Need to Know

There is a rule you should know that World of Hyatt has about point transfers.  You can only transfer or receive points once every 30 days.  Just be aware of this in case you need points from 2 different sources to make your booking etc. You will need to space them out by at least 30 days.

Final Thoughts

I wish every points program allowed you to combine points with family members, much less anyone!  It allows you to get more value out of your points or at least not leave any stranded stragglers behind.

This is one of my favorite parts of the World of Hyatt program. Especially with running a 2 player system between myself and my wife.  Since we both have Chase World of Hyatt credit card we both hit the $15,000 in spend each year for the category 1-4 free night.  That means my wife always has at least 15,000 World of Hyatt points in her account when her spend is finished.  We would have to book a room using her account if we couldn’t transfer them to my account.  That isn’t a huge deal unless one member has status or is chasing status.  Once I transfer her points to my account we unlock status perks on that stay(s).  And it makes re-qualifying for status a little bit easier too.
