Americans Ask Italian Man What His Favorite Pizza. His Response Is Hilarious: ‘He Knows Ball’

The good thing about globally recognized brands? The unintentional hilarity.
Imagine you’re chilling on a boat just laughing with your friends. Then you think to ask your Italian friend where his favorite American pizza is from.
It’s a question Emma Noyes (@emmanoyesmaybe) posed to her Italian friend, Matteo Napoletano, and recorded his answer for posterity (and TikTok). “Where did you say your favorite pizza in America is from?” she asks.
Do You Have The Same Taste In Pizza As An Italian?
Napoletano, to his credit, instead of going on a rant about the inferiority of American dough, sauce, or ovens, pauses for a moment as he thinks it over. Then with a small smile, he delivers what may be the most unexpected answer of all: “Um, Little Caesar’s,” he says.
Noyes bursts into giggles that land somewhere between horrified and delighted, while another member of the boating party shouts a response. “That is absolutely f—–,” says a man standing next to the cooler. The video has been watched over 3.5 million times.
The Internet Rides For Little Caesars
In the comments, people are standing up for Little Caesars, calling out everything from the taste to the founder’s support of Rosa Parks. Affordability is also mentioned several times.
“My British friend came for a week….he discovered little ceasers his last night with me and was so obsessed he had to share it with the sonic worker who brought his blast out,” said @gingervitis22.
User @helloouthere5 recalled, “I fell on some hard times. That little Caesars five dollar pizza really stepped up for me and my two children.”
Others are not thinking pizza thoughts at all. “Why are all Italians men and women SO HOT,” another asked.
Meanwhile, the top comment goes to the verified Little Caesars account: “He knows ball,” wrote the brand’s social media manager.
This isn’t the first pizza-centric TikTok Noyes and Napoletano have gifted the internet. In another video, Noyes takes her Italian friend to see a “pizza vending machine.” The machine is called PizzaForno, a French invention that now has 60 units in Canada and the United States.
Situated next to what appears to be a dirt/gravel parking lot, the PizzaForno machine fails to impress Matteo. He says that it appears “dirty, with a spider coming down” from above the ordering screen. “Not for me this time,” he says.
Maybe Napoletano prefers Little Caesars because he feels a very Italian connection to the Caesar in the name. Or perhaps, he’s worried that if not for piping hot Little Caesars, he’ll have no choice but to eat machine pizza.
